Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in this study. This study includes a survey of theses written in Turkey about the use of social stories in individuals with autism in the last 10 years. Social stories are one of the scientific-based practices used for individuals with autism to improve their social skills. For the third student, the Power CardĪbstract Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neuro-biological disorder that usually occurs before the age of 3 and negatively affects the performance levels of social interaction, communication skills and other cognitive Sayfa 188 functions. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the Power Card strategy in teaching direction following to three first-grade students with ASD within a multiple-baseline across participants design. Although preliminary studies have shown that the Power Card strategy is a promising approach to teach social skills, additional research is needed. The Power Card strategy is a strength-based intervention to promote social skills of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) by capitalizing on their special interests.
